If Africa is in your blood, the Professional Hunter should be in your arsenal. The accuracy and dependability of the Professional Hunter is legendary among “Big Five” hunters. Like the Signature and the Wind-Walker, it’s 100% manufactured by Jarrett. The only exceptions are when the Professional Hunter is chambered for .416 or .450 Rigby. (We don’t make the Rigby bolt face size actions yet.) The Professional Hunter is a special purpose weapon for dangerous game.
The barrel for the Professional Hunter is still held in our exact 1/10th of a thousandth standard. Finished weight is just over 9 pounds. In the African tradition, the professional hunter has a solid quarter rib, banded front sling stud, and a hooded, banded front sight. The iron sights are calibrated to hit dead on at 50 yards. Talley rings and bases with quick release levers are included. The Professional Hunter is the only rifle that we supply the optics as part of the package. It comes with two 1.75 x 6 x 32 Leupold scopes, pre-mounted and zeroed. An extra scope is good insurance on a big expensive hunt.
On everything up through .416 Remington, the Professional Hunter comes with our Tri-Lock Jarrett receiver. The rifle comes with a set of extra receiver screws, wrench, and a takedown rifle case. The barrelled action can be taken out of the stock to create a 32" long gun case. It can be reassembled and the scope installed without losing zero. Popular calibers for the Professional Hunter are the ageless .375 H & H, .416 Remington Mag., .416 Rigby and .450 Rigby. If you really love wood, you can order your Professional Hunter in a beautiful English Walnut stock. It will add to the cost of the rifle and the time to build it, but it is a real beauty when finished. In wood it becomes not only your “Super” killing stick, but a real conversation piece in your trophy room. As with all Jarrett Rifles, the Professional Hunter gets a load development.
The Professional Hunter goes a little further and gets two tunes. One is with soft pointed bullets, the second with solids. You get 40 rounds of each load. The rifle comes in an Americase, custom made for the Professional Hunter. The case dimensions are 38 x 12 x 3.5. The Professional Hunter is “super accurate” and a very functional African rifle at a fraction of the cost of a double rifle. |
