About 15 years ago, Jim Carmichel coined the phrase “Beanfield Rifle” in an article about us. For some reason, that name really stuck. The “Original Beanfield” is the basic rifle Jim talked about years ago. We are willing to build this rifle on a receiver that you provide. It can be a Remington, Winchester, or Weatherby. The choices of caliber, stock style, color, with or without muzzle brake are all yours to make. The barrel taper and size is also up to you, fat or skinny, heavy or light. The rifle gets our proprietary finishes on the stock and metal work. We will develop a custom load for the rifle with one bullet and supply you with 20 rounds of loaded ammo. You will get the last three targets that the rifle shot during load development and a ballistics print-out. The print-out will give you the exact bullet drop out to 500 yards with the scope setting at 2 or 3 inches high at 100 yards. The trigger will be a nice crisp 2-2.5 lbs. This is a great way to recycle that receiver from an old rifle that is a personal favorite. Something has to leave an incredible mark on a lot of people to be called a “Legend.” Only by owning and using a Jarrett “Original Beanfield Rifle” will you know why it is called a legend.
